How many aluminum insects in your bracelet?

Since we’re on the topic of consumerism, I’d like to extend my thanks to VonLivid for pointing us in the direction of AND_i jewelry by Austrian artist Andreas Eberharter. These subtle, quiet pieces are part exoskeletons of large robotic bugs and part those ardent trips to the hardware store for accessories in preparation for the next industrial disco outing.

While we’re waiting for the launch of the shop, check out some of my favorites after the jump, and browse the AND_i galleries for more of Andreas’ work. Turn on speakers for an appropriately crunchy soundtrack to your window shopping experience, brought to you by Viennese locals Afterwax.

    Really wonderful.

Some unmotivated nudity in that catalogue. Yay!

Most of the stuff look extremely tasty, but also very uncomfortable.

not really feelin’ the jewelry myself…
but I will say the girl in purple has a nice ass.

What i like most about these besides the actual designs is the fact that it’s all aluminum and therefore light. While definitely on the bulky side at least they won’t weigh me down. This is all in my dream-realm where the online shop is live, affordable and carries the same stuff as the runway shows.

I happen to be one of the happy owners of some of the AND_i pieces. Trust me: they are sooo extremely light, the metall has the same temperature as your body in a second and then even the bulkier piece feels very good on me.

But the best thing about it is that poeple really talk to me about it all the time.

The smaller necklace i wear like 99% of the time – cannot put it away any more – or there is just no need.
I wear it for about 2 years now – i think its one of his early pieces – and it shows no sign at all.

Most poeple i know who wear it would never give it away anymore. Its crazy stuff.

Sabrina – that’s great to hear, thank you for letting everyone know for sure. I’d love to know where I could purchase some of these pieces and I bet some of our readers would, too!
