New Images by Eugenio Recuenco
“Are those stills from a movie?” That’s the comment I hear most regarding Eugenio Recuenco’s beautiful fashion photography, in which no detail is ignored. Recuenco has just updated his site to include some new images. In general, the site is now much easier to navigate than it was a couple of months ago, with all the images being completely accessible the moment you enter the main page. No Flash, no non-user-initiated tacky dance music (why, fashion photographers?), and thumbnails in which you can actually see the picture; just how I like a photography site to be!

Action, emotion, elegance and grit. What a find, thank you!

I may be already repeating something obvious, or written on his site, but did you notice that the most recent couple of photos are an homage to Stanley Kubrick?
2001
Barry Lyndon
Clockwork Orange
Patton
Dr. Strangelove
LOVE IT!

Err, NOT Patton, but Full Metal Jacket.
I’m having issues.

Thank goodness Eugenio exists ~ the world needs these elaborate dream visions to be brought forth and we are lucky to be living in an age when they are visible in the realm of reality as opposed to merely a subconscious state… His site is a trove of treasures.

I think that all the newest ones are film references, maybe a comment on the fact that everyone compares his work to film stills… but I can’t figure out the Duel one! Where’s that from? Anyone recognize it?

Full Metal Jacket? The WWI trench image is straight out of Kubrick’s Paths of Glory. To the video store with all of ya!
The Duel one Nadya is Barry Lyndon since the Kubrick theme is such a factor. Only with a nice spin on things…and for those who’ve seen the film wouldn’t it have been cool if Barry and his wife DID have a duel like that?
Overall it’s a nice homage since they are different enough to still be unique. I like it…the 2001 image is by far the best.
