Better Than Coffee: Sashimi’s Revenge
Morning, late-risers! To kick things off this week, a simple post with two tags: “Cthulhu” & “Stroke Material.” What more could you ask for in life? This eye-popping drawing, titled Sashimi’s Revenge, was completed in Photoshop by illustrator Serge Birault. In addition to the above, not to be missed on Birault’s site is a charming homage to Lux Interior of the Cramps.
Previously in “Cthulhu & Stroke Material”:
- A Delicate Twist of the Hydrostat
- Blind Love by Paul Komoda
- The Dunwich Horror: Sweet… Horrendipity?

I just checked out Serge’s site. That’s some beautiful work! This is the first time I’ve seen any of it. Love Lux as the Human Fly.
Thanks for this evening’s edification.

She’s based on Scarlett Johansson, that’s why (or so the artist says)

Wow, I bet that lady has some horrendous back problems. (Ha. I guess I’m preoccupied with my current breast reduction surgery woes.) Gorgeous work though. I love how delicately the fantasy and pinup elements are blended with the more subdued textures and colors.

Hello, new Lux Interior desktop. Many thanks for that.

LOVE the Lux drawing, and the disgruntled look on the octopus’s face made me smile, but yeah, gotta say… the proportions on this gal remind me a little bit of Jhonen’s superhero parody, Lady Sexhole! :D

It’s a great work! I noticed too that it does look a lot like Johansson, whom I cannot stand, as she has absolutely no talent in anything and gets waaaaay too much attention for having big lips and big tits.. But I will put that aside and appreciate it for what it is! (And hide it from my ex who likes both Scarlet and octopi).

for some reason I’m not really sure of, this image reminds me somewhat of Hajime Sorayama’s mermaid, which can be found here: http://allthemermaids.com/wp-content/gallery/illustrations/Sorayama%20-%20Myth27.jpg
Sorayama is an artist worth checking out btw, he has some pretty hot other stuff as well
