BTC: “Evolution Made Us All”
Good morning, heathens! Here’s a nice hot cup of atheist-approved parody to start your day off with a big bang. It comes to us courtesy of Ben Hillman (apparently the same man responsible for animating Anthony Mackie’s sperm for Spike Lee’s infamous 2004 dramedy, She Hate Me):
Via our own dear S. Elizabeth, who is still giggling over the lamprey.

It utterly won me over with the lamprey. A beautiful thing to wake up to!

That hit me in my happy place. :D (Evolution made that too.)

Is it directly spoofing a religious song or is it an original composition?

Elana: that’s a very well known religious song in some parts of the world, notably Britain, where Monty Python did a very famous spoof many many years ago, which I must confess, I prefer (not that the lamprey isn’t especially adorable ;):
All things dull and ugly,
All creatures short and squat,
All things rude and nasty,
The Lord God made the lot.
Each little snake that poisons,
Each little wasp that stings,
He made their brutish venom,
He made their horrid wings.
All things sick and cancerous,
All evil great and small,
All things foul and dangerous,
The Lord God made them all.
Each nasty little hornet,
Each beastly little squid,
Who made the spikey urchin,
Who made the sharks, He did.
All things scabbed and ulcerous,
All pox both great and small,
Putrid, foul and gangrenous,
The Lord God made them all.
AMEN.

Thanks. That made my morning.
