Kick Out the (FREE!) Friday the 13th Jams with Beats Antique
Beats Antique, photographed by Sequoia Emmanuelle.
Those cheeky loves from Beats Antique want to give us all a cheap thrill on Fri 13th. Actually, a FREE thrill– in the form of an agitated, super bass-heavy Beats Antique remix of composer Harry Manfredini’s Friday the 13th bombast.
It’s pretty sick:
Beats Antique’s touring schedule is extra intense this festival season. Chances are, if you live in North America, they’ll be in your time zone at least once over the next few months. Check their calendar here. David, Zoe and Tommy put on a stellar live show that’s fulla heart and playfulness. Not to be missed if you like to dance, laugh, and bliss out.

I got to see them live at SxSW this year it was a good show with good music. I thought Dead can Dance meets Abney Park. The belly dancer is very enchanting with her eyes and body. get their music see then live.

I’d love to see them play… but I’m not into the festival thing. Lightning in a Bottle is a bit… much… for me to handle.

Crane, trust me, I know the feeling. Well, they’re not showing any signs of slowing down any time soon, so chances are, come autumn, they’ll go back to touring venues again. Go see ’em then, for sure!

I listen to them on them om the way into work today. I think they are better live so you can see the belly dancing which just adds to the baseline. That being said they would be great for re-mixs and sampling or dancing to. I ended sending the link off to a belly dancer or two.
As far as the festival thing goes SxSW is actually full of venue playing. I saw them in a smallish bar’s backyard stage so got up and personal by the stage.
