“Rick Perry is an Ass”
Today, many of us were appalled and saddened (though not terribly shocked) by the tone and content of (former Texas Governor, presidential hopeful, LGBTQ-damnator, and corndog-gnawer) Rick Perry’s most recent campaign video.
Let us strive to find the strength, through humor, to turn the other cheek:
Bless you, Peter Coffin. (Via E. Stephen.)

I cannot view this without laughing hysterically.
It is perfect in every way.

The winds of change are blowing…

If the litmus test of YouTube is anything to go by, a lot of people are quite strongly against Rick Perry and his outdated views. With 3121 likes to 133,365 dislikes (at the time of writing, though every time I refresh the number jumps up again. (dozens of people are disliking it literarlly every second)) the internet is serving at a sort of straw poll for his campaign. What a wonderful sign of our times that people can sound out against things like this with such immediate result. It’s small, but it’s promising.

This caused me to laugh hysterically in the office. Tears of joy though.
My friend (who is from Texas) pointed out that Perry was once a democrat working for Al Gore’s campaign. What a chameleon…

I disliked Rick Perry’s video so hard that I think I nearly broke something.

I’m tired of YouTube disabling comments on controversial videos. Yes, some comments and commentators are going to be nasty, it’s a public forum.
Remember a little thing called free speech? It allows for discussion and comments. Deal with it, YouTube.

Theresa, do you think it was YT that disabled comments, or Perry’s camp? My bet would be on the latter.
