Thankyou. Thankyou. Thankyou. The universe now has meaning and I understand everything.

  2. JMG Says:

Not wholly unlike if The Residents started making J-pop videos.

  3. selizabeth Says:

Maybe because I am secretly still 11 years old but I am still giggling at 1:29, hee hee!

  4. functiontelechy Says:

I’m sending you the bill for my pancreas transplant.

  5. Albert Says:

I watched this just out of curiosity, but then, like you Selizabeth, I saw the artistic air flatulence. I had to watch that bit again. Hah! Love it.

  6. Heather Says:

    I…wow.

Why hasn’t an american artist capitalised on covering Japanese pop songs in English? They’d make a fortune in tween sales. A FORTUNE.

  7. nadmai Says:

I think I would like to see the director of this and Cyriak to team up. Emphasis on ‘think’.

  8. La Mome Neant Says:

Thanks Coilhouse for making Kyary a bit of publicity! Sebastian from 6% dokidoki should also be mentionned since he created the room and props. Anyway, thanks for the kawaï daily dose!

  9. SuperBakaKing Says:

It’s like Perfume-lite. Considering the producer is the same guy they work with constantly it makes sense….

  10. JoAsakura Says:

I was watching this, when the Spouse came in and looked over my shoulder.

Koffer: I.. what in the hell is this?

    me: Japan.

    Koffer: right, then.

    and … i don’t think the world is ready for Cyriak to team up with these folks. Or maybe *I’m* just not ready. either way… >.>;;

  11. Tequila Says:

This makes my head spin & throb in all the good ways a video should. I’d love to have been in the editing room when this was cut together though. I can only imagine the stuff left on the cutting room floor.

  12. Melody Says:

Definitely better than coffee…I may never sleep again!

  13. Infamous Amos Says:

I feel like someone just rubbed gasoline soaked cotton candy in my eyes and threw me down a flight of stairs.

  14. Merrymoll Says:

Oh Japan, yet again you beguile me with your unerring ability to combine utter cuteness with the subtly disturbing. Don’t you ever change!

I am never going to get the image of her farting colours out of my head. It could only have been topped if she’d dressed in a sparkly unicorn costume to do so.

  15. Paul Komoda Says:

I believe my retinas have just been vigorously boinked. That blank faced girl in the pink dress is one of the more delightfully unnerving characters I’ve seen anywhere in long while.

  16. JoAsakura Says:

@paul : the first time I watched it, I thought the blank face was actually a giant strawberry head.

    and i thought “of course.”

  17. Bárbara Says:

Am I the only one who thinks she looks a lot like Sakura from Card Captor Sakura?

(And I can’t believe no one commented about that thing coming from her nose on 3:30.)

  18. Amanda-Chan Says:

“…like Lisa Frank on Acid”- oh so very apt.
I miss her line of trapper-keepers & other school supplies.

And this video just makes me want to shit rainbows.

  19. CMSkyes Says:

Hahah I really loved this video. I was surprised to see that her producer was the guy from Capsule. I’ve enjoyed Capsule’s music in the past (along with MEG’s, who I believe he also produced for?).

    Also a very… Perfume-like sound.

    I love it.

More seizures please, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu!

    I was so confused……
