Gynoids Love the Mac
Sorayama and Mac. Two great tastes that taste great together! Before you get too excited, these aren’t actual ads, just some design concepts like by Leif Olson – you can see the rest here. But how awesome would it be? Especially if all the ads were directed by Chris Cunningham, in the same style as this video? If I saw that, I bet even I would buy a Mac (full discloure: almost every friend I have, including the Coil-staff, loves the Mac. I love the PC. Too much Oregon Trail in elementary school).

I have a mac! Macbook Pro to be specific. After years of begging, my crappy PC laptop started to cause me physical harm (exposed metal made me bleed, not fun) and the battery life went down to 15 minutes fully charged, so I had to get a new laptop. Basically I’m not getting the choice for new laptop for college anymore. Macs are better for photography purposes apparently. I’m with this one for life. It really is better. And it looks so much prettier. Her name is Anne Frank. (My friend named her. Said she had to be Jewish. I love Anne Frank so it’s not offensive. :P)

And damn it, I need to remember to log in!

Haha, who doesn’t love Anne Frank? I decided to go a Google search on “I hate Anne Frank” and find out. I got 63 search results, and most of them seem to be disgruntled students forced to read her diary and write a paper about it for school.
My personal favorite: “i hate anne frank..i wish she had died and neva made this retarded ass play!!”
Oh, Internet.

Bwahaha. That’s brilliant! I think that’s the best thing I’ve heard all week.
One morning though, I did scream out a very rude thing regarding Anne. You see, I had her resting on the side of my bed, and when I got up I stubbed my toe on her. Well, I’m pretty sure I sounded like the worst human ever that morning.
I googled it too… apparently they don’t like Helen Keller much either.
“Helen Keller was a dumb bitch also. All that fucking fuss about her just because she was a fucking retard. I would have fucking set her on fire and sodomized her with a hot curling iron while using my hands to teach her the sign language for “you are a cum guzzling whore””
PS: I’m logged in! Woo!

@acidsphere: Hey, the company I work for did that ad. Not the design (that was TBWA Media Arts Lab), but the technical implementation online.

ditto on that! Oregon Trail rocks. It’s how I learned how to use a computer in fourth grade! Although I think my Oregon Trail’s were on an Apple…when they were large boxes…..

Oregon Trail was available for both the Apple II and the Macintosh in addition to the PC. I too have fond memories of playing it in elementary school but in my case it was on an Apple II. I love my mac mini, I also love PCs (well at least ones running linux, not too hot on ones running windows, they are handy for games though).

I logged beaucoup hours on Oregon Trail on an Apple II as well. I moved on to Lode Runner on a IIc in junior high. In fact, now that I’m thinking about it, I never used a PC in a classroom or a lab in the entire course of my education, including college. Didn’t realize that until just now. No wonder I’m an Apple disciple.
