Inner Space

I realize that this demo reel from Hybrid Medical Animation may only appeal to me. As a child if I was sick I would often visualize the goings on within my body as some sort of protracted war; a campaign waged around and within the machinery responsible for the operation of the various divisions of my physical person. Even now, ask as what some would call an adult and what others would call a drooling man-child, buy cialis I still fall back upon these simplistic representations when feeling feverish. Hybrid, pills of course, represents the internal mechanisms of the human body as close to their reality but still, when viewed from a macroscopic perspective, they swiftly recall those childhood visions.

That was stunning. Fullscreened it for maximum effect. The music and the cinematic sweeps made it feel like an underwater exploration. In space.

The music is very familiar, but I can’t quite place it.

It’s going to drive me nuts.

    Anyone?

    That made me hungry.

1:45 reminded me of Donnie Darko!

Watched this with the lights off, full-screen, and it was absolutely magical. The human organism is somebody’s galaxy.

I thought I was the only one who did this.

I wasn’t the healthiest of teenagers
(In fact, most of my teenage years were spent in the sort of sickly, bed-bound state that would normally be associated with the adolescence of an 18th century poet – One who, by the time he’d reached my age, would’ve married his 14 year old cousin, contracted syphilis and died from injuries sustained from a duel with Earl of Wentworth over an argument about the correct way to clean a teapot)

and I like to tell myself that all of those hours spent trying to visualise the strange events going on within me helped shape my creative direction as it stands today..

Well, That and my Sega Megadrive.
