Pleaseeasaur/JP INC – Randy Normal Jeans

Just a quick li’l internugget of ZOMGWTFBBQ for ya:

Via Medina, via Gooby, who says, “the first time I saw [Pleaseeausaur] live I didn’t know what I was getting into, and I gave myself an intestinal disorder from laughing so hard.”

As of an hour ago, I knew next to nothing about JP Hasson, but the first 12 seconds of this clip just earned JP a lifetime fan in me. Further research indicates that Hasson’s been hugely influenced by the Dead Milkmen and is a croney of Neil Hamburger‘s, Tim & Eric‘s, and Rob Crow‘s. I’m basically having multiple instantaneous nerdgasms over here. Wouldn’t you love to see this guy collaborate with Liam Lynch (of Sifl & Olly fame), or maybe Cal Worthington and his dog Spot?!

    …those are not normal garments.
How did they make them do that… thing that they do?

Haha, I love it! I actually just saw JP perform a few days ago with Neil Hamburger, and I try to see him every time he comes to my area. You need that know that his act is much better in person. It just doesn’t translate as well to video.

So long, feeble grip on reality. It was nice knowing you.

Such a classic song! You really should check out his new act…now that Pleaseeasaur is no longer. It’s JP Incorporated. I saw him open for Devo late last year in Washington DC and it blew my mind! His live show is so fricken good!

I was so utterly lucky as to see Pleaseeasur open for Sleepytime Gorilla Museum (with Subarachnoid Space between ’em) at a rare seated show. Nils wanted to see Pleaseeasaur, so I saved him a seat down front. I’m sure he enjoyed it but I was laughing too hard to hear anybody else’s reaction.
