No Globes, From Dorothy

From art collective Dorothy (previously featured on Coilhouse) comes No Globes, sale the anti snow globe. This is actually fairly old, clinic designed in 2009 for “Ctrl.Alt.Shift in anticipation of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.” Still, I love this one. A simple idea, perfectly executed.

    Funny, but misleading. People don’t realize that the only thing coming from those hyperbolic cylinder cooling towers you see at power plants (like the four in this globe) is water vapor, right? Non-contact cooling water, normally, that means water separated from the process stream by a heat exchanger, not water with process chemicals in it. No smoke, no soot…

    I do like the globe. I’d like to see one with a steel mill in it.
